HD is a returns code, and most loads ship fully manifested, which is unusual for returns. That combination matters. Returns-grade merchandise carries real variance, and a manifest converts that variance from a guess into a read you can price against. On this code, the manifest matters more than the photos, and the buyers who do well here read it closely. The manifest tells you what the wall of merchandise actually is before you commit floor space to it, line by line.

The exception is the outdoor power equipment stream: OPE that ships by the full truckload, customer returns, and tends to run unmanifested. Mowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, and the gear around them. It runs unmanifested because of how the equipment is staged at the source, not because anyone is hiding it, and the tile labels it up front. If you have small-engine capability or a tested-equipment channel, OPE can recover hard, because a unit that starts is a unit that sells.

Contents across the code run manifested mixed returns and electronics alongside that OPE tools stream. Condition skews returns: returns here mean returns, so the working-unit upside is yours to capture, not ours to promise. A wall of pro-brand merchandise recovers differently from a wall of house-label goods, and where a manifest exists it shows you which wall you are buying before you commit. We describe the condition the way the load record shows it, rather than rounding it up, and we name box damage separately from product damage because a dented carton and a damaged item are not the same problem.

HD clears fastest where buyers underwrite on the manifest. Auction houses read the manifest and move returns-grade merchandise to local bidders. Online and individual sellers part out tested units at the line-item level. Discount stores buy the mixed returns to fill a floor.
