Returns-grade merchandise carries real variance, and a manifest converts that variance from a guess into a read you can price against. On this code, the manifest matters more than the photos, and the buyers who do well here read it closely. The manifest tells you what the wall of merchandise actually is before you commit floor space to it, line by line.
The exception is the outdoor power equipment stream: OPE that ships by the full truckload, customer returns, and tends to run unmanifested. Mowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, and the gear around them. It runs unmanifested because of how the equipment is staged at the source, not because anyone is hiding it, and the tile labels it up front. If you have small-engine capability or a tested-equipment channel, OPE can recover hard, because a unit that starts is a unit that sells.
